The Short Shift Kit for the Audi 80, 90 and Coupe Quattro (B3/B4) is the perfect solution for reducing shift times and improving your driving experience. Manufactured from 100% German OEM components, this kit reduces shift distance by approximately 30%. Its design makes installation simple and fully reversible, without the need to modify any original parts. This keeps your vehicle in its original condition, ideal for those who want a fully reversible upgrade without making permanent modifications to their vehicle. The kit provides a direct replacement for worn factory parts and ensures the shift knob remains at the same height in the cabin, providing a familiar feel when shifting gears. While it is possible to shorten the shift lever for a lower knob height, we do not recommend it as it may affect functionality. Installation of this kit is simple and typically takes between 20 and 45 minutes, depending on your experience. No special tools are required, just basic metric wrenches, socket wrenches, and a pair of circlip pliers. The kit eliminates the push-down function to engage reverse gear, but thanks to the internal locking mechanism in the 012/01A-series transmissions, accidental reverse engagement is virtually impossible. Reverse can only be engaged from the center neutral position.
