Description
An oil catch can is essential to maintain the performance and efficiency of direct injection engines. Airtec has developed a special catch can kit for the 308 GTi, which fits seamlessly into the engine compartment. The kit includes a high-quality, one-piece milled bracket with a matte black anodized finish, which keeps the catch can neatly in place.
The catch can itself has an internal micron filter and dipstick and is easy to maintain. The kit comes complete with all necessary parts and a detailed installation manual.
Why a catch can? The original crankcase breather can eventually cause carbon build-up in the engine's intake system. This forms an oily gunk that reduces airflow and therefore performance and efficiency. Taking preventive measures is useful to avoid costly cleanings. Additionally, a catch can filters harmful contaminants before they reach the intake system.
