The Garrett PowerMax Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade is a direct replacement for the OEM IS38 turbo on the EA888.3 2.0 TSI engines, such as the VW Golf 7 GTI/R and Audi S3 8V. This latest generation GT Series Upgrade Turbo is designed for peak performance, while maintaining OEM fit and reliability.
Immediately power up to 485 hp, the PowerMax 1 offers a +17% higher compressor flow compared to the standard IS38. The turbine is made of Mar-M superalloy immediately stainless steel twin-scroll turbine housing that temperatures up to 1050 °C can handle. Thanks to the new generation ball bearings This turbo delivers faster spooling and improved efficiency.
The set is fully assembled, including calibrated electronic wastegate actuator and all mounting materials for a direct OEM installation.
