The IE Forged Drop-In Connecting Rods are the perfect upgrade for the weaker stock units found in the VW and Audi 1.8T 20V 06A engines . These reinforced connecting rods are designed for high performance, without the need to replace the stock pistons. Ideal for supporting a larger turbo or extra boost, ensuring the engine continues to perform reliably. With a focus on durability and strength, these connecting rods are manufactured from high quality vacuum drawn 4340 chrome moly stem. This material ensures that the rods are not only lightweight, but also capable of standing the high loads associated with high performance engine upgrades. The improved H-beam design provides additional strength and durability, making them perfect for racers and tuners looking to maximize engine performance. The IE connecting rods have been tested to 700HP on 4-cylinder engines, proving that they are not only designed for performance, but also for durability under challenging conditions.
