Description

The TTE440 is a high-performance turbo upgrade from TheTurboEngineers, designed for the Audi S3 8L, TT 8N, and other vehicles with the 1.8T 20V motor. Based on a heavily modified BorgWarner K04-064 turbo of the 2.0 TFSI platform, this upgrade combines the power of modern TFSI technology with the proven 1.8T engine — for power up to 440 hp, depending on fuel and setup.

The TTE440 starts as a new original BorgWarner K04-064 that has been completely reworked by TTE. The standard compressor is replaced by a large billet 2871X compressor with next-gen geometry for massive airflow and improved efficiency. The turbine side features a 9-blade TTE High-Flow low-mass turbine, which provides lower back pressure, cooler exhaust temperatures and higher power build-up than standard K04 or shortened wheel variants.

It 360° TTE motorsport bearing system offers maximum durability under high loads without loss of fast spool. The turbo comes with a reinforced actuator with spring pressure, reinforced clamps and a OEM Pierburg N75 valve for reliable boost control. The kit also includes CNC-machined components that allow for installation on the 1.8T platform, including an optimized manifold and custom hardware.

Each turbo is individually balanced with VSR high-speed balancing up to 250,000 rpm and supplied with an official balance test result document.

NB: The TTE440 requires modification or custom parts for correct mounting — it is not Plug & Play.
