Description

The TTE490+ is a powerful hybrid turbo upgrade from TheTurboEngineers, specifically developed for the Ford Focus RS MK2. Based on the original BorgWarner turbocharger, it's been completely reworked internally to deliver over 500 hp. This upgrade offers the perfect balance of raw power, rapid response, and the convenience of a fully plug-and-play installation.

At the heart of the TTE490+ is a larger billet compressor wheel with 7+7 blades (58mm inlet), carefully designed to deliver extremely high airflow while maintaining efficiency. The compressor cover is CNC-machined and re-profiled for optimal fit and maximum efficiency. On the exhaust side, a lightweight, 9-bladed high-flow turbine is mounted, resulting in lower exhaust gas temperatures, reduced backpressure, and faster spooling.

The turbocharger is also equipped with an upgraded bearing system and a genuine BorgWarner actuator, optimized by TTE for maximum reliability. Each TTE490+ is dynamically balanced at high speeds up to 250,000 rpm and comes with an individual balance report with a serial number.
