The Airtec Stage 2 Intercooler for the Ford Focus Mk3 ST boosts performance by lowering the Intake air temperature compared to the original Intercooler. This is particularly important for remapped vehicles. With conical end tanks, this specification has been tested up to 540 pk at an Intake temperature of 38 degrees.
The solution, designed to fit within the limited space behind the bumper, is based on a high-flow single-pass core that is wider, taller and deeper than the original. This provides a significantly larger frontal area and a much greater volume, ensuring optimal utilisation of the available airflow.
The 60 mm bar-and-plate core has been proven on the racetrack and is combined with cast Airtec end tanks for improved airflow and an exceptionally strong construction. The air-ram Air Intake forces the airflow through the core.
Despite its larger size, the kit fits neatly behind the original bumper and the whole unit can be returned to standard without any problems. the intercooler connects to the original hoses, and the comprehensive fitting kit includes all the necessary mounting hardware and an installation guide. The finish is Pro-Series Satin Black, with an Airtec logo applied free of charge on request.

Please note: the original Ford grille shutters must be removed prior to fitting. These can be easily unscrewed, after which the wiring is attached to the supplied Airtec mounting bracket.
