The Airtec Motorsport Intercooler for the Ford Puma ST is a larger, free-flowing Intercooler that directly replaces the smaller and more restrictive original unit. the intercooler is suitable for track use and sporty road driving, and prevents a noticeable loss of performance during prolonged hard driving.
Within the limited space behind the bumper, Airtec opted for a full-size single-pass core that spans the full width of the grille and is almost three times as high as the original. This results in a 150% increase in frontal area, from 966 cm² to 2,945 cm², and a substantial increase in volume, ensuring optimal utilisation of the available airflow.
The bar-and-plate core is 80 mm deep and fits neatly in front of the original crash bar and behind the bumper, without requiring any modifications.
The comprehensive kit also comprises the cast Airtec end tanks, laser-cut mounting brackets and all the fixing materials required for a direct bolt-on installation. Full fitting instructions are included. The finish is satin black.
