Airtec Motorsport induction kit for the Mini Cooper S R53 (supercharged 1.6), developed in-house at Airtec HQ in the United Kingdom. This kit is specifically designed for the standard supercharged 1.6-litre petrol engine of the R53 Cooper S.
The induction kit replaces the original, restrictive airbox and improves the air supply to the supercharger. Thanks to the increased airflow, the engine can breathe more efficiently, resulting in improved performance and a more audible induction sound.
The kit comes with an Airtec performance air filter, and you can choose between a cotton filter or a foam filter, depending on personal preference and intended use. Both options offer improved airflow compared to the standard set-up.
In addition, the kit includes a laser-cut aluminium heat shield with a durable black powder-coated finish. The heat shield helps to direct cool air towards the filter and protects against hot air from the engine compartment.
Optionally, the kit can be supplied with a Pro Hoses silicone connecting hose, available in various colours to match the look of the engine bay. Installation is fully plug-and-play and utilises the original mounting points without the need for drilling or cutting.
