The do88 Intake system for the Porsche 911 992 turbo and turbo S is the first model-specific air filter kit for this car. With the 992 generation, Porsche moved away from the intercooler and air filter layout used in the 996, 997 and 991. The 992 no longer has a single air filter shared between both turbos: the filters and their housings are located in both rear wings, fed from the bonnet and the scoops in the rear wings.
The air filter housings have been freely designed in a 3D CAD environment and are made from vacuum-infused prepreg carbon fibre for the best finish and fit. Washable BMC cone filters with improved airflow have been fitted. Depending on the version chosen, the airflow is 10 to 33 per cent higher than with the original system. The system connects to the original or DO88 Intake hoses, with a 66 mm or 80 mm connection.
