Frequently asked questions
Will this Downpipe fit my Audi S3 8V with the original exhaust?
Yes, thanks to the adaptors supplied, the Downpipe fits both the OEM exhaust and a 3″ catback.
Do I need to have my ECU remapped?
With a decat, remapping is strongly recommended to prevent fault codes and optimise performance. With a sports catalytic converter, this can also offer benefits, but is not always necessary.
Is this product suitable for OPF/GPF models?
No, this Downpipe is only suitable for non-OPF versions (up to 2018).
What is the difference in sound between a decat and a sport cat?
A decat produces a rougher, more aggressive sound. A sport cat retains more sound damping, but does provide better flow than the OEM system.
Will I get fault codes (CEL) after fitting?
A CEL may occur with a decat. This can be prevented with ECU tuning or an emissions solution.
