Mishimoto Heat-Protective Reflective Tape is designed to reflect heat and protect sensitive engine components from high engine temperatures. This tape is made from a highly reflective metallised polyimide film, the same material used by the aerospace industry to protect sensitive instruments from high temperatures. The film is laminated onto glass cloth using a high-temperature laminating adhesive.
The tape can withstand temperatures of up to 357°C and adheres using a high-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive, which is protected by an easy-to-remove release liner.
