The TTE490 upgrade turbocharger for the Hyundai i30N G4KH facelift has been developed by TheTurboEngineers for those who want more power without compromising on reliability. This hybrid turbo utilises a CNC-machined billet compressor wheel (7+7 blades, extended tip) that delivers significantly more air mass whilst still maintaining early Spool-up.
The compressor housing has been modified using CNC machining to accommodate the larger wheel. On the exhaust side, the tried-and-tested TTE 9-blade turbine ensures lower back pressure, greater flow and a faster response. The turbo is fitted with a reinforced 360° Motorsport bearing assembly, a modified wastegate housing with a stronger spring and adjustable clamps for optimum tuning.
Every TTE490 is dynamically balanced up to 250,000 RPM on a VSR machine and supplied with an individual balance test report to ensure maximum reliability and durability. With the appropriate supporting modifications, power output of 500+ pk is possible.
