The Airtec Motorsport Enclosed Induction Kit is the enclosed version of the Intake system for the Ford Focus Mk4 ST, suitable for track use and sporty road driving. The kit was developed in-house at Airtec’s headquarters in the United Kingdom.
The aim was to create a complete solution that improves upon the original Intake system: increased airflow whilst maintaining low Intake temperatures, a more direct response, and, at the same time, an enhancement in sound and appearance under the bonnet. Airtec had previously developed shielded induction kits for other performance models and has applied that experience to this comprehensive package for the Focus Mk4 ST.
At the heart of the kit is a large, high-flow cotton air filter housed within a four-piece heat shield. A replacement aluminium Intake pipe is also included.
The laser-cut heat shields form a barrier against engine heat, ensuring the filter is not affected by heat soak in the engine compartment. The filter is continuously supplied with cool air via the original front Air Intake. The result is increased power, a more immediate throttle response, a more pronounced Intake sound and a more attractive engine bay.
The kit is a direct replacement requiring no drilling or cutting. It features a durable black powder-coated finish, and all necessary fixing materials and comprehensive fitting instructions are included.
