The Airtec Motorsport Oil Cooler kit for the Ford Focus ST225 Mk2 and Focus RS Mk2 has been developed for drivers who want to keep their oil temperatures under better control during sporty driving, track use and at higher power outputs.
The original cooling system is designed for normal use on public roads. However, as soon as power is increased or the car is subjected to prolonged heavy loads, oil temperatures can rise significantly. High oil temperatures reduce the oil’s lubricating properties and can, in the long term, affect the engine’s reliability.
To address this issue, Airtec has developed its own complete Oil Cooler kit, with every component specially designed for a perfect fit and a high-quality finish. The Oil Cooler is mounted behind the grille for maximum exposure to cool airflow and can be positioned on either side of the grille, ensuring that the air supply to the Intake system is maintained.
At the heart of the kit is a high-quality Earl’s TEMP-A-CURE™ Oil Cooler, a proven Motorsport component that combines excellent cooling performance with low weight. In addition, the kit comes with various CNC-machined billet components, high-quality Aeroquip couplings and black Pro-Lite oil lines for maximum reliability.
The result is a complete Oil Cooler upgrade that helps to keep oil temperatures stable under heavy loads, ensuring more consistent performance and better protection for the engine.
Please note: on a pre-facelift Focus ST225, material must be removed from behind the grille to create sufficient space for fitting the Oil Cooler. Allow for approximately two hours’ extra fitting time. Without this modification, the kit will not fit pre-facelift models.
