Airtec Motorsport PCV Oil Catch Can upgrade for the Ford Fiesta ST180, developed as an essential preventative upgrade for direct-injection EcoBoost engines during track use and sporty road driving.
The Fiesta ST180 features both a CCV system and a PCV system, both of which can feed blow-by gases and oil vapours back into the Intake tract. To provide maximum protection against contamination and carbon build-up, Airtec has developed separate catch can kits for both systems.
This version has been specifically developed for the PCV side of the engine. The PCV valve is a one-way valve that directs blow-by gases from the sump back to the Intake manifold. Over time, this causes an oily deposit to build up on the Intake ports and valves, which reduces airflow, performance and efficiency.
The Airtec catch can captures these contaminants before they reach the Intake system. This keeps the engine cleaner and prevents the need for costly cleaning treatments in the long term.
The kit utilises the available space at the front of the engine bay for a neat OEM+ integration. Thanks to the laser-cut mounting bracket with a satin black powder coating, the catch can is fitted securely and neatly.
The catch can features an internal baffle and an oil dipstick, and can be easily removed for maintenance. The set comes complete with Pro Hoses silicone hoses, all fixing materials and clear fitting instructions.
Tip: for maximum protection, Airtec recommends fitting both the PCV and CCV catch can kits.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a PCV and a CCV catch can?
The PCV catch can collects blow-by gases that return to the Intake manifold via the PCV valve. The CCV catch can operates on a different part of the crankcase ventilation system.
Do I need to fit both the PCV and CCV catch cans?
For maximum protection against carbon build-up, Airtec recommends fitting a catch can to both systems.
Why is a catch can important on an EcoBoost engine?
Direct-injection EcoBoost engines are susceptible to carbon build-up caused by oil vapours in the Intake system. A catch can helps to prevent this.
Is everything included for fitting?
Yes, the kit comes complete with a mounting bracket, silicone hoses, fixing materials and a fitting guide.
