This Runner Flap Delete Kit removes the restrictive inlet valves (runner flaps) from the Intake manifold of 2.0 TFSI EA888 engines. The standard plastic flaps regulate the airflow, but also act as a restriction – even when they are fully open.
With this kit, you replace the flap assembly with fixed plates, thereby optimising the airflow to the engine. This results in improved performance, particularly at higher revs and in tuning applications.
Benefits
• Improved airflow in the Intake manifold•
Less restriction than OEM
flaps• Better performance at higher
revs• Ideal for tuning and stage
builds• Elimination of potential flap malfunctions•
More consistent air supply

Frequently asked questions
What does a flap delete do?
It removes restrictions in the Intake system to improve airflow.
Does this give more power?
Yes, particularly at higher revs and with tuning.
Are there any drawbacks?
Yes – potentially less torque at low revs and fault codes without a software update.
Is this plug-and-play?
Mechanically, yes, but software tuning is often required.
