The Airtec Motorsport Induction Kit for the Ford Focus Mk3 1.0 EcoBoost has been developed to improve the air supply to the engine, enhance the turbo sound and make the driving experience noticeably sportier. This upgrade replaces the original, restrictive plastic airbox with a much more open system that is better suited to both standard and lightly tuned vehicles.
The improved airflow allows the engine to breathe more efficiently, resulting in a power gain of approximately 5 to 10 pk compared to the original airbox. In addition, the engine responds more quickly to accelerator pedal inputs and the character of the 1.0 EcoBoost becomes noticeably livelier.
The kit utilises a large air filter in combination with a powder-coated aluminium heat shield assembly. The supplied 80 mm cold air feed continuously directs cold air to the filter, ensuring that Intake air temperatures remain as low as possible.
Optional Pro Hoses Induction Hose: With this product, you can opt for an additional Pro Hoses induction hose. This high-quality silicone hose replaces the original Intake hose and is recommended for its greater durability, improved strength and increased resistance to deformation under load. Particularly in tuned vehicles, this represents a valuable upgrade over the standard hose.
As well as the performance gains, this kit delivers a much sportier sound. The intake sound becomes clearly more audible, and the characteristic dump valve ‘pssshh’ sound when lifting off the throttle is also more pronounced.
Thanks to the integrated CNC-machined MAF sensor connector, the car retains all its original sensors and functions. Installation is straightforward and usually takes less than 20 minutes.
Please note: this kit is only compatible with facelift models fitted with the push-and-twist MAF sensor. Not suitable for pre-facelift models with the screw-in MAF sensor.
