Airtec Motorsport’s ultimate-spec, large-capacity front-mount Intercooler kit for the Nissan GT-R R35, developed for heavily modified Stage 4 and higher GT-Rs that demand the very best in terms of cooling and performance during track use or sporty on-road driving.
Following an intensive development programme lasting more than two years, Airtec Motorsport is proud to present this high-end Intercooler kit. Developed, tested and validated in the United Kingdom following extensive research, during which various end-tank designs, Charge Pipe connections and both tube-and-fin and bar-and-plate cores were tested.
The final design was chosen on the basis of maximum performance and utilises 3-inch formed inlet and outlet pipes which, via specially developed end tanks, feed into a massive 110 mm-thick bar-and-plate core. This core is suitable for power outputs of up to 1,500 hp and utilises the full surface area of the lower grille opening. An integrated, angled air deflector improves airflow towards the core.
Thanks to the significantly larger frontal area and volume compared to the original Intercooler, Intake temperatures are drastically reduced. This makes this intercooler particularly suitable for tuned GT-Rs running at increased turbo pressures.
the intercooler fits neatly behind the original bumper, but does require modification to the original plastic Intercooler surround. The comprehensive kit comprises a 20-piece big Charge Pipe and hose set, including pre-Turbo Inlet pipes and Airtec foam air filters. All necessary fixing materials and clear fitting instructions are included.
