Airtec Motorsport front-mount Intercooler for the Mini Cooper S R53 (supercharged), developed as a high-quality upgrade within Airtec’s growing range of performance intercoolers. This front-mount version offers a significant increase in cooling surface area and is designed for maximum performance in sporty road driving and track use.
the intercooler features a large frontal area whilst maintaining sufficient airflow to the upper section of the radiator. This is particularly essential at higher outside temperatures or when used in warmer climates.
The core consists of a 50 mm thick bar-and-plate core, specially specified to Airtec’s design. In combination with cast aluminium end tanks, air is efficiently and evenly channelled through the core for optimum cooling performance and structural strength.
The kit is supplied with silicone and aluminium boost pipes, including stainless steel hose clamps. Installation takes an average of 3 to 4 hours, depending on experience.
Please note: This is a custom installation. The air conditioning must be removed prior to fitting, and minor modifications under the bonnet are required.
