Greater airflow, lower Intake temperatures and a cleaner-looking engine bay – this Airtec enclosed Intake Kit has been specially developed for the Renault Megane MK4 RS and offers a complete upgrade to the original Intake system. The focus is on maximising airflow, maintaining low Intake temperatures, improving throttle response and delivering a sportier Intake sound. Airtec has developed this Intake entirely in-house, basing the design on previous successful enclosed induction kits for other performance models.
The result is a comprehensive system that not only replaces the airbox but also revamps the entire Intake path from the air feed to the Turbo Inlet. This makes this kit unique within the range available for the Megane MK4 RS. The kit features an enlarged Turbo Inlet flange with improved flow, which is fitted directly to the turbo. This connects to an enlarged Pro Hoses silicone Intake hose, followed by an aluminium Intake pipe and a large cotton air filter. The filter is fully enclosed within a four-part enclosed airbox and is continuously supplied with cool air via the original air ducts. Thanks to this design, Intake temperatures are kept low, whilst power, throttle response and induction sound are significantly improved.
The intake is finished in a high-quality black powder coat and provides a neat OEM+ upgrade in the engine bay. Installation is fully plug-and-play, with no drilling or cutting required, and all fitting materials and instructions are included.
