Airtec Motorsport Intercooler upgrade for the Hyundai Kona N 2.0 T-GDi, developed as a direct replacement for the smaller and more restrictive OEM Intercooler. This upgrade is suitable for track use and sporty road driving, where consistent performance under prolonged load is essential.
The original Intercooler is relatively wide but shallow and does not make optimal use of the available space above and below the core. Airtec Motorsport has therefore developed an intercooler that is deeper, taller and wider to make the most of the available space behind the bumper.
The result is a core that is 33% deeper than the original and offers 58% greater capacity compared to the OEM Intercooler. In addition, the frontal area has been increased, allowing the available airflow to be utilised more efficiently and significantly boosting cooling capacity.
The inlet and outlet diameters have been increased from 50 mm to 63 mm and 65 mm respectively, resulting in connections that are up to 30% larger. This reduces restriction and improves airflow. The kit comes with Pro Hoses silicone tubing that connects to the original boost pipe system.
In combination with high-flow, one-piece cast end tanks, this intercooler delivers a marked improvement in cooling capacity, efficiency and internal volume compared to the standard unit.
The comprehensive fitting kit contains all necessary mounting hardware and a detailed installation manual.
