Stable oil temperatures under heavy load – this Airtec external Oil Cooler kit has been developed for the Renault Megane MK4 RS and is aimed at drivers who struggle to keep oil temperatures under control during track days or sporty road use. Overheated oil can lead to a loss of power and accelerated wear, making effective oil cooling essential for modified RS models. This kit was designed and developed in the UK, drawing on years of experience with oil coolers for performance and track cars. The challenge was to integrate a large external Oil Cooler in a position with maximum airflow, whilst utilising the car’s existing mounting points. The result is a neat and well-thought-out solution that is mounted behind the bumper for direct airflow.
The kit comprises a proven 13-row Airtec Motorsport Oil Cooler, a billet aluminium take-off adapter, a bespoke laser-cut and powder-coated mounting bracket, and high-quality braided hoses with Aerotec couplings. The kit comes complete with all fitting materials and clear fitting instructions.
Please note: this is a Motorsport product. After fitting, a slight increase in engine noise levels inside the cabin may be noticeable. In addition, minor trimming of the original plastic air deflector is required for correct fitting.
