The CTS downpipes with high-flow catalytic converter have been developed for the BMW M3 F80, M4 F82 and M2 Competition F87 fitted with the S55 engine. The stainless steel downpipes with High Flow catalytic converter deliver faster turbo Spool-up, improved boost response when accelerating, higher boost pressure and a great-sounding exhaust note.
These downpipes form the first part of CTS’s modular exhaust system and are compatible with the original midpipes and the forthcoming CTS midpipes. When combined with the correct tuning software, you can expect significant torque gains. CAD simulation has been used to optimise the flow of exhaust gases and ensure a seamless connection to both the original and CTS exhaust components. Many hours of R&D have been devoted to achieving a perfect fit, smooth exhaust flow and an excellent sound.
The component is made from food-grade 304 stainless steel with a diameter of 3 inches. Use of Bootmod3 software is strongly recommended. Without the correct software tuning, the engine fault light will come on. Stage 2 software is required to prevent the engine fault light from coming on.
