The CTS High-Flow Intake system for the Audi A4, A5, Allroad quattro, S4, S5, RS4 and RS5 (B9 and B9.5) is compatible with the 1.8T, 2.0T, 3.0T and 2.9T engines: the corresponding adaptors are included for all four engines. The system features a newly designed, closed, rotomoulded airbox and an air ram that efficiently channels outside air into the Intake system. The air flows through the high-flow 6-inch velocity stack air filter and enters the engine via a smooth 3.5-inch, 5-layer silicone Turbo Inlet Charge Pipe, which minimises restriction whilst maintaining a good fit and durability.
The closed rotomoulded airbox shields the filter from the heat in the engine compartment, whilst the CTS Turbo air scoop ensures a direct supply of fresh air. All components of the system work together to deliver increased power and torque across the entire rev range, along with a more pronounced Intake sound. The turbo Spool-up and the opening of the diverter valve are also slightly more audible. The system is designed to operate efficiently, with only a slight increase in noise. The intake system delivered a gain of 15 hp on a standard car, whilst tuned cars show even greater improvements.
