The 4-inch CTS High Flow catalytic converter has been developed for BMW F-series models fitted with the N20 four-cylinder engine from model years 2012 to 2017 inclusive, including the 228i, 320i, 328i, 428i and 528i fitted with the N20 2.0L, found in models such as the F20, F21, F22, F23, F30, F31, F32, F33, F34, F36 and F10.
Removing the original catalytic converter frees up the exhaust flow, which increases the engine’s power and sound. As the turbo spools up faster and there is less back pressure, the car feels more responsive and is more fun to drive. The catalytic converter is fully TIG-welded from stainless steel and fitted with a CNC-machined flange and a direct-fit bracket. Suitable software from Bootmod3 is required to clear the engine fault light and ensure correct operation.

How do I know if my car has the N20 or the N26 engine?
Check the sticker under the bonnet. An N20 engine will be marked ‘ULEV’, whilst an N26 engine will be marked ‘SULEV’. This part is not suitable for the N26 engine.

With Stage 2 software, you can expect an increase of 25 to 35 hp, depending on the fuel’s octane rating.
Can I use this part on public roads?
No. This part is intended exclusively for off-road and racing use. Also check the flange of the Downpipe on the vehicle.
