The CTS Race Downpipe set for the BMW F90 M5 and M5 Competition, and the BMW G15 and G16 M8 and M8 Competition with S63 engine, is designed to maximise exhaust flow for the greatest possible power gain. Don’t compromise on performance and sound with original parts.
The downpipes are designed using the latest CAD technology and fit exactly where the restrictive original parts are located. They are manufactured from cast T304 stainless steel, hand-TIG welded and back-purged to ensure years of reliable performance. The pipework has a diameter of 80 mm, or 3.15 inches.
As well as unlocking the power of the 4.4 Twin turbo, these racing downpipes make your car sound just as it should. When combined with the original exhaust, you get a louder and deeper growl with a much more pronounced crackle when downshifting. When upshifting, you’ll hear a confident punch through all 8 gears. With an aftermarket exhaust system, the sound is even louder.

Will the engine fault light come on after fitting?
Yes, this will happen. To clear the engine fault light, suitable Stage 2 software must be used.
How does the car sound with these downpipes?
With the original exhaust, you get a louder and deeper growl with a much more pronounced crackle when downshifting and a punch when upshifting. With an aftermarket exhaust system, the sound is even louder. There is no drone with the original exhaust.
Does this part fit a European car with an OPF?
The part fits, but is based on the US specification and does not have connections for the OPF temperature sensor and the OPF pressure sensor. European cars have had these sensors fitted as standard from 2019 onwards. If you want to keep those sensors connected, this part is not the right choice.
