The 4" CTS decat Downpipe has been developed for the BMW F-series four-cylinder models with the N20 engine, including the F20, F21, F22, F23, F30, F31, F32, F33, F34, F36 and F10 in the 228i, 320i, 328i, 428i and 528i, both standard and xDrive versions, from 2012 to 2017 inclusive.
Removing the original catalytic converter improves exhaust flow and increases power and engine sound. The result is faster turbo Spool-up, reduced back pressure and a car that responds more directly. The Downpipe is fully TIG-welded and made from stainless steel, with a CNC-machined flange and a direct-fit bracket.
Proper tuning by Bootmod3 is required to clear the engine fault light and ensure correct operation. Stage 2 software is required to prevent the engine fault light from coming on.
