The CTS Intercooler has been developed for the Mini Cooper and Cooper S F-series Gen3 platform with B46 and B48 engines, and is also compatible with the diesel variants featuring B37 and B47 engines, as well as the BMW 1 Series and 2 Series with F chassis.
The original Intercooler is inadequate in warmer climates and will suffer from heat soak during sporty driving. This effect becomes even more pronounced once the car has been tuned. With this intercooler, you’ll notice increased power and more consistent performance.
This intercooler has 51.9% more volume than the standard Intercooler, resulting in improved cooling efficiency, a significantly lower pressure drop and reduced resistance. The core and the cast aluminium end chambers are made from the highest quality materials. It is a direct-fit Intercooler: no modification or adjustment is required; simply remove the original Intercooler and fit the new CTS FMIC.

No, this is an intercooler. You simply remove the original Intercooler and fit the new one.
What difference will I notice on a tuned car?
