CTS Turbo is launching the supercharger pulley upgrade for the 3.0T Gen2 CREC engines, commonly found in the late 2016–2018 B8.5 Audi S4 and S5, as well as in the A6, A7, Q5, SQ5 and Q7. This is the bolt-on version of the pulley kit; please check compatibility with your own car. CTS recommends replacing the pulley bolts during fitting.
The CTS pulley has a smaller diameter than the original: the original pulley measures 63.25 mm, whilst the CTS pulley measures 57.3 mm. As a result, the supercharger spins faster and boost pressure increases. When combined with upgraded ECU software, the higher boost pressure results in a significant increase in power and torque across the entire rev range. This does not cause any additional strain or excessive wear on the supercharger or engine components.
The pulley is manufactured in-house at CTS Turbo in Canada from AISI 4140 steel, with OEM-spec honing and tolerances, and is nitride-coated for a long-lasting, OEM-like finish. The belt is included.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need software with this pulley?
Yes, the CTS 3.0T supercharger pulley upgrade must be used with compatible Stage 2 software. With Stage 2+ software (not included), you can achieve maximum boost and maximum power from the 3.0T whilst safely optimising the air-fuel ratio, ignition timing and boost pressure cut-off. Most Stage 2+ software is compatible with this kit.
How much smaller is the CTS pulley?
The original pulley measures 63.25 mm, whilst the CTS pulley measures 57.3 mm. As a result, the supercharger spins faster and the boost pressure increases from 11 psi to 15 psi.
Does this pulley cause extra wear?
No, the upgrade does not place any additional strain on, or cause excessive wear to, the supercharger or engine components.
Do I need to replace the pulley bolts?
CTS recommends replacing the pulley bolts during fitting. You should also check the compatibility of the bolt-on version with your own car.
