Will this Downpipe fit my Arteon with the original exhaust?
Yes, thanks to the adaptors supplied, the Downpipe fits both the OEM exhaust and a 3″ catback system.
Do I need to have my ECU remapped?
With a decat, remapping is recommended to prevent fault codes and optimise performance. It is often useful with a sports cat too, but not always necessary.
Does this work on models with OPF/GPF?
No, this Downpipe is only suitable for non-OPF models (up to 2018).
What is the difference in sound between a decat and a sport cat?
A decat produces a rougher, more aggressive sound. A sport cat offers higher flow than the OEM system, but with a more subdued tone.
Will I get fault codes (CEL) after fitting?
A CEL may occur with a decat. A modified ECU map or emissions solution prevents this.
