The TTE190 is the latest hybrid turbo upgrade from TheTurboEngineers, specially developed for the VAG 1.0 TSI 115 hp engine, as found in the VW Up GTI, Polo, Audi A1 and Seat Ibiza. This compact, high-performance upgrade delivers up to 170 hp with extremely fast Spool-up, smooth throttle response and retention of the original mounting – a true plug-and-play solution with OEM reliability.

The TTE190 starts as an original BorgWarner turbo that is completely overhauled. The standard compressor wheel is replaced by a larger 6+6 billet-milled wheel featuring extended-tip technology for increased airflow and efficiency. The compressor housing is CNC-machined for an optimal fit and maximum air displacement. On the turbine side, the original turbine is replaced by a lightweight 10-blade high-flow turbine, designed to reduce back pressure, increase gas flow and lower exhaust gas temperature.

For added durability, the TTE190 features a 360° thrust bearing upgrade, manufactured in-house by TTE. Each unit is individually balanced up to 250,000 rpm using VSR technology and comes with an official balance test certificate.
