The TTE490+ is a powerful hybrid turbo upgrade from TheTurboEngineers, specially developed for the Ford Focus RS MK2. Based on the original BorgWarner turbo, but completely re-engineered internally to enable output of over 500 pk. This upgrade offers a perfect balance between raw power, rapid response and the convenience of a fully Plug & Play installation.
At the heart of the TTE490+ lies a larger billet compressor wheel with 7+7 blades (58 mm inlet), carefully designed to deliver an extremely high airflow whilst maintaining efficiency. The compressor housing is CNC-machined and re-profiled for an optimal fit and maximum efficiency. On the exhaust side, a lightweight, 9-blade high-flow turbine is fitted, ensuring lower exhaust gas temperatures, reduced back pressure and faster Spool-up.
The turbo is also fitted with an upgraded bearing system and an original BorgWarner actuator, optimised by TTE for maximum reliability. Every TTE490+ is dynamically balanced at high speeds of up to 250,000 rpm and supplied with an individual balance report bearing the serial number.
