Based on the original N54 turbos, the TTE500 units are completely overhauled internally. The standard compressor wheels are replaced by TTE’s advanced billet compressor wheels with next-gen geometry for improved efficiency and higher airflow. On the exhaust side, the TTE High-Flow turbine ensures lower exhaust gas temperatures, reduced back pressure and faster Spool-up.
Each unit is fitted with the reinforced TTE bearing assembly for optimum durability at high boost pressures. Optional TTE upgrade wastegates are available — including reinforced flappers, arms and bushings — for extra stability under extreme loads. Each turbocharger is individually balanced on the in-house VSR machine up to 250,000 rpm and supplied with an official balance report bearing the serial number.
