The TTE550 is a high-quality hybrid turbo upgrade for BMW models fitted with the N55 engine. Designed by TheTurboEngineers to offer the perfect balance between high power output, rapid response and OEM fit. With a proven power output of up to 550 hp, the TTE550 delivers a significant performance improvement without compromising on reliability or ease of fitment.

The original turbo is completely overhauled internally: the standard compressor wheel is replaced by a 7+7 billet aluminium wheel with advanced aerodynamic geometry, resulting in more efficient airflow and increased power. On the exhaust side, a larger, 9-blade TTE High-Flow turbine is fitted, which reduces back pressure and improves gas flow, whilst maintaining response that is virtually identical to OEM.

At the heart of the TTE550 is the reinforced Motorsport bearing system, developed to ensure long-term performance, even at higher boost levels. Each unit is individually balanced on the VSR machine at high revs for maximum precision and is supplied with an official balance report.

Yes, but the electronic actuator and diverter valve will not be reworked — these will be reused.

Yes, TTE strongly recommends fitting a new OEM diverter valve during installation.
