The TTE600 RACE EVO is a carefully developed hybrid upgrade turbo based on the original BorgWarner turbocharger from the Audi RS3 8V.2 / 8Y and TTRS 8S models fitted with the 2.5 TFSI EVO engine (DAZA, DNWA, DNWC). This turbocharger has been designed as a safe and reliable first step towards performance, with an emphasis on lightning-fast response, OEM-like drivability and a clear power gain compared to the standard turbocharger.
The TTE600 RACE EVO was tested and validated by MTR performance for approximately one year prior to its release. tuners reported a faster boost response than the OEM turbo, making this upgrade particularly suitable for drivers who are not seeking extreme peak power but do want a fast, consistent and durable setup. The turbo remains plug-and-play when combined with an upgraded Turbo Inlet (same size as the TTE700).
For this upgrade, the original compressor wheel is replaced by a TTE billet-machined aluminium compressor wheel with modern 7+7 blade geometry, which delivers a higher air mass and improved efficiency. On the exhaust side, a much larger yet lightweight TTE 9-blade turbine is fitted, which reduces exhaust back pressure and improves performance. The whole system is supported by a proven TTE Motorsport-grade bearing kit for long-term reliability.
For new turbos, TTE uses the latest generation of BorgWarner turbochargers, including Audi OEM thermal insulation on the manifold and turbine housing to reduce temperatures in the engine compartment and ensure maximum safety. Each turbo is multi-balanced, including high-speed VSR balancing up to 250,000 rpm, and supplied with a numbered balance test report. Software recalibration is required.
