The TTE6XX is the latest hybrid performance upgrade from TheTurboEngineers, developed for the BMW B58 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo engine as fitted in the Toyota Supra A90. This turbo is designed to combine lightning-fast Spool-up and response with significantly higher power potential, whilst remaining fully plug-and-play to install.
The TTE6XX comes complete with a TTE high-flow Turbo Inlet, designed as an OEM replacement whilst retaining the original electric heater and bleed connections. This ensures the upgrade fits without any modifications and preserves OEM functionality.
For this upgrade, the original compressor wheel is replaced by a much larger TTE billet compressor wheel featuring extended tip technology. The compressor housing is CNC-machined to optimal tolerances for maximum efficiency. On the turbine side, a larger 9-blade high-flow turbine is fitted, which reduces exhaust gas temperatures and increases power potential, whilst its low mass ensures excellent boost response.
The result is a class-leading hybrid turbo that enables 600+ pk whilst maintaining drivability and reliability.
Balancing
Precise balancing of the turbocharger is essential for durability and performance. All TTE turbochargers are first balanced at low speed across multiple planes up to 2,800 RPM. The complete CHRA is then high-speed VSR-balanced up to 250,000 RPM on TTE’s in-house VSR machine. Each turbocharger is supplied with a numbered balance test result certificate.
