The TTE7XX is TheTurboEngineers’ first hybrid performance upgrade for the Alfa Romeo Giulia, developed to deliver the ultimate combination of power, lightning-fast response and OEM-style plug-and-play installation. This upgrade utilises the original turbochargers as a basis and is designed as a powerful first step towards serious performance builds.
For the TTE7XX, the original compressor wheels are replaced with larger, more efficient TTE billet compressor wheels. The compressor housing is CNC-machined to optimal tolerances to make the most of the new compressor profile. On the turbine side, the original turbine is replaced and the turbine housing is CNC-milled to accommodate a larger 8-blade TTE special turbine, which delivers significantly greater gas flow and lower exhaust gas temperatures.
In addition, the original thrust bearing is replaced with a TTE 360-degree upgrade bearing, manufactured in-house for maximum reliability under higher loads. With the correct supporting hardware, up to 700 hp is achievable, whilst drivability and responsiveness are maintained.
Please note: this product is a reconditioning and upgrade service. At present, no new TTE7XX turbos are available from stock. The upgrade is carried out on a set of turbochargers supplied by the customer.
Balancing
Balancing is crucial for durability and performance. All TTE7XX turbos are first low-speed balanced up to 2,800 rpm across multiple planes. The complete CHRA is then high-speed VSR-balanced up to 250,000 rpm on TTE’s in-house VSR machine. Each turbo is supplied with a numbered balance test result document.
