The Wagner Competition Intercooler kit takes the performance of the VW Golf 7 GTI and R, fitted with the 1.8/2.0 TSI Gen3 EA888 engine (MQB), to the next level. The Competition Tube Fin high-efficiency network ensures optimum airflow, including to adjacent components such as the water cooler.
Measuring 640 mm x 410 mm x 65 mm, the intercooler offers a charge air volume of 17 litres (compared to 9 litres OEM), delivering more air, more power and better acceleration. The inlet and outlet diameters have been increased to Ø70 mm and the kit includes reinforced silicone hoses, which significantly reduce back pressure. Despite its dimensions, the intercooler weighs just 9.75 kg. The cast aluminium end caps have been designed using CAD and optimised with CFD simulations, featuring integrated air guidance for even filling of the core. An anti-corrosion coating with excellent thermal conductivity ensures long-lasting cooling. Installation is plug-and-play, replacing the factory Intercooler. The kit fits the VW Golf 7+7.5 GTI and R, VW Arteon, T-Roc and Škoda Superb, and comes with TÜV partial type approval (OPF models excluded).
